Add some Russia.

BORSH. Borsch was and is one of the most popular dishes in Russia. It is made of vegetables (beetroot, carrot, potato, cabbage and tomatoes) and meat (the beef is a good addition, but meat in this soup is not necessary)

Heat broth to boiling. Add chopped cabbage and potatoes that are cut into bars. Cook for 5 minutes. Add saute and cook another 10 minutes. Add simmered red beets. Cook another 5 minutes. Add salt and black pepper. If you like garlic, you can add about 5g grated garlic. It is supposed to be in borsch. I don't like it and never add it here. Borsch is served with sour cream.

Oh, Paris

Today I decided that fried eggs would be a great breakfast. But my sister brought me a cooking book instead and offered me to try something else. I found a chapter about eggs and saw a great recipe for FRENCH OMELET. I liked it. It was not hard to cook and seemed to be really tasty. The point is to add some filling in the end (some chese, ham or mushrooms).

BreakFAST

What can be easier, than flakes with yoghurt ;)

(Anna) - for me this is a great breakfast because I have
a sensitive stomach, so for you who have the same problem
this is what is recommended. Whole grain flakes and skip all
the sugar yoghurt insted go with the naturell yoghurt.
And of course add a little strawberry becuase what is better in the summer.

You were waiting for...

TACOS !
For tacos you dont need much. Just meat, tortilla and vegetables ( besides chese, oliv, tzatziki, corn etc.).
Just cut anything you want and add it to already fried mince, and put it on tortilla (you can make it warm in advance, if you want). Add some sauce. It is really easy and DELICIOUS! Good luck.

  • Borscht (the famous russian soup)
  • And a baking suprise from Liza.

What about breakfast?

For me, perfect breakfast is satisfying and ofc DELICIOUS. My lovely sister Anna tought me how to do this perfect breakfast. It is much easier than I thought. If I can do it, so can you!
So, my perfect breakfast is french toasts.

All you need is:
  • eggs
  • bread
  • a pan with oil on it
  • a little cinnamon
  • cheese, vegetables (anything you want)
Scramble eggs (one egg for one person), spred a little cinnamon and mix it up.
Place the bread slices into a bowl with eggs for few seconds
And then put them on a pan for a couple of minutes
Add some vegetables, cheese

So, here is my perfect breakfast) Enjoy)

About meat

Sometimes you dont need to create a masterpiece. Sometimes just grilled meat with salad is enough.

Try some differnt sauсes. It can be ketchup or tzatziki or you can make YOUR sauce. And of course desert is very important ;) Strawberry is perfect!!! All you need is inspiraton.

By the way, we had our dinner outside because of the nice weather. So, it is my little advice for you.

Breakfast with strawberrys

Some oatmeal and strawberrys for breakfast.
Cheers Anna

Potatos and beans.

I try to teach Liza that instead of read a recipe and then buy the things you need you should start with to just taking a look in your fridge and see what you can make. Maybe some people think "Well captain obvious ofc that is what you should do", but actually that was some of the rookie mistakes I did when I first started to cook. I would find a recipe to impress my parents and then buy all the things that was required without thinking what I would do with the things that was left after I was done. You know what I am talking about when it says in the recipe two teaspoons of something or just some basilica herb and then you stuck with the leftovers.

So yesterday we had some potato, cream and onions and some vegetables.

Which ended up as a really nice dinner.

A proud big sisters and a first pancake

Hello everyone!

When I heard that my dear cousin Liza was coming to visit me and my family this summer I immediately thought of that this summer would be the one that I would learn Liza how to cook.

Now here we are three weeks later and Liza has now tried making her first pancakes, eggs. frenschtoasts and trying out harder things like cooking fish or chicken.

I am a proud big sister so I thought that we should start to write a blog where we will post
what Liza has made for the day and what things she find out on the way of her learning experience.
Cheers Anna
